Eligibility:
Open to artists living in the state of New Mexico either part time or full time and who are 18 years of age or older.

Title Limitations: A limit of 50 characters, including spaces
Digital Requirements: Only emailed digital entries of work will be accepted - no slides or CD's. Use a digital camera with a minimum of 3 megapixels. Crop the image so that only the painting is shown.
FILE FORMAT: JPG files only;
IMAGE SIZE: maximum of 700 pixels on the longest dimension. Getting close to the 700 will give you a better image;
FILE SIZE: maximum 500kb per image.

Example:
John Butler enters an oil painting that is 6"x6" titled "Southwest Chief" with an asking price of $300. The file would be labeled using no spaces as follows:

ATTACH IMAGE FILES: Submit all image files as an email attachment. DO NOT embed the image into the email message.
CONFIRMATION: You will receive confirmation that your entries were received.
NOTIFICATION OF WINNERS: Winners will be notified two weeks prior to the Opening on Friday June 6, 2008. Actual work (up to 10 pieces per winner) will be shown during the opening and must be hand delivered and received in gallery standard condition with suitable framing and clean, well cut mats ( optional) by Friday May 30, 2008.
Artists whose work is deemed acceptable to be included in Daily Painters of New Mexico and who were not selected as winners will be notified of other opportunities available to them by May 16,2008.
Artists whose work is not accepted will be notified in an email by May 16, 2008.
PRICING AND SALE OF ARTWORK: All artwork must be for sale. Daily Painters of New Mexico collects 20% of the sale price as a commission and handles all sales tax. Sales prices are set no lower than $100 and no more than $500.
Entry Fees: A non-refundable fee of $30 for each set of 5 digital images must be mailed with the entry form and a check payable to Daily Painters of New Mexico, LLC and mailed to the following address:

Biographical Information: Artists are to submit their complete resumes, a brief bio, digital portrait, and artist statement along with the digital images of artwork. Winners will have their biographical information on display along with the names and websites of "brick and mortar" galleries that represent them.
Daily Painters of New Mexico Artist Agreement: Any artist submitting entries into the competition is required to read carefully and be willing to accept the conditions set by the Daily Painters of New Mexico Artist Agreement in the event that he/she is chosen as a winner.

Liability: Daily Painters of New Mexico, LLC and 1228 Parkway Art Space will not assume any responsibility for loss or damages to works while in transit or in its custody in connection with or during the Opening.
Retrieval: Unsold artwork will be returned at the artist's expense after the show.
Right of Refusal: Daily Painters of New Mexico, LLC has the right to refuse any work that is damaged, improperly framed or fails to meet the
entry requirements.
Unclaimed Entries: Works not retrieved by Friday,July 4, 2008 will be considered abandoned.
Promotions: Daily Painters of New Mexico, LLC reserves the right to photograph any entry for publication in newsletters or in
the news media.

Jurors
Leo Neufeld: (www.leoneufeld.com) Artist ( Contemporary American Realist ) and educator, Leo has won many awards and fellowships throughout his career. His work can be found in museum collections and galleries across the country.
Lee McVey: (www.dailypaintersnewmexico.com) Award winning artist and instructor, Lee McVey, paints "landscapes in pastels you feel you can walk right into". She is a Signature Member of the Pastel Society of America, Pastel Society of New Mexico, and Plein Air New Mexico among others. Her work has been seen in numerous publications in addition to many galleries and museums throughout the United States.
Emmett Johns: (www.emmettjohns.com)Highly sought after portrait and abstract artist, Emmett Johns studied at the American Academy of Art in Chicago, the University of New Mexico, and received his BFA with honors from the Los Angeles College of Design. He divides his time as a painter between summers in Door County, WI and Albuquerque, NM.
